Starting Fresh

After a good, but exhausting weekend, I’m feeling frustrated, convicted, moved. I’ve been in a rut for a while now, and I’m ready to make some changes.

Goals for this week (in no particular order):

1. Clean our “new” oven
2. Pray more
3. Play the “minimalism game”
4. Take everything out of the van
5. Make better dinners
6. Order our futon

I think minimalism is great. The more stuff you have, the more stuff you have to manage. Additionally, the more you have, the easier it is to sneak more in unnoticed. I want a simpler, more peaceful life, so I’m going to start the “minimalism game” on October 1. I will share my picks here.

  1. As a non-cooker, the key to better dinners in our house is planning. I make a lot of stuff ahead of time. And I work on having a full pantry of items…..and a frozen pizza just in case. 🙂 No more Papa John’s delivery (about $17 for a single pizza+delivery+tip).
